Hutzot HaYotzer Festival: Arts, Culture & More

Good news. The Hutzot HaYotzer Art Fair is back again for its regular appearance this August, to the delight of locals and tourists alike. The recurring festival has taken place more than 35 times over the years, and this time it’s being held at the Sultan’s Pool, directly across from the Tower of David, in the Old City of Jerusalem. The events will take place over the span of almost two weeks, starting on August 7th – August 19th, 2017. Shows are available every evening (except for Friday night (in respect for the Sabbath) from 18:00 to 23:00 and on Saturday nights from 21:00 until midnight.

Whether this is your first time or you’ve already enjoyed the festival in previous years, the Hutzot HaYotzer fair is an event not to be missed. Here are some of the highlights you and everyone else are going to love.

The International Display

International artists converge on Jerusalem to teach, discuss, and exhibit their various art forms for novices to professionals to indulge in. Come and sit in on workshops about how the different types of crafts are formed, their individual processes, and their varying results. Or, just come to admire the finished products of talented artists from all over the world.

The Israeli Display

Not to be outshined, Israeli pride has sprouted this next display in the fair. Come marvel at art at its best as 150+ Israeli artisans display their craft for the public to enjoy. You’ll see a tremendous array of styles, designs, and expressions taking on various forms including ceramics, paintings, silver and other jewelry making, woodwork, toy workshops, weaving and other textiles, and more. This is the ultimate haven for anyone who appreciates art of any type.
