The HaMeiri House, located in the city of Tzfat, houses numerous rooms and artifacts that date back to the last few hundred years of the settlement of Tzfat and their inhabitants. Visitors who love learning about (and eating) dairy products should also visit Meiri Dairy. This place claims to be the first dairy manufacturing company in Israel. It is well known as the birthplace of the popular Tsfatit cheese, and also became popular for producing what is now known as Bulgarian cheese. Visitors can take a tour of the museum, as well as the cheese production plant. Your tour of a dairy facility won’t be complete until you sample some quality Meiri cheeses.
