Ima Restaurant

ima-restaurantIma is Hebrew for mother, and this restaurant certainly creates that feeling for their diners. With dishes made from the freshest ingredients and the finest flavors, Ima’s secret spice is love. Tourists will love the authentic Mediterranean cuisine amidst an ambience of home away from home.

Ambiance

Like we said, Ima does its best to make you feel right at home. The relaxed atmosphere is enhanced by the rustic tables, the gentle lighting, and the Jerusalem stone walls. The staff and chefs are friendly and are only too happy to come out and receive your compliments on a dish well done.

Menu

Ima’s Mediterranean flavor focuses on foods from the area, and everything is made with ingredients bought daily straight from the market. Diners will delight in the fresh salads such as beets, tabouli, matbucha, tahini, eggplant, hummus, and a special Moroccan carrot salad. The salads all come with delicious Mediterranean spices such as the exotic hawaiij (a yellow Yemenite spice that is as hard to pronounce as it is to put down!). There are also rice-stuffed veggies that are to die for.

Main dishes include fried and grilled chicken dishes, mixed meat platters, lamb, steak, and fish specialties.

Ima specializes in delivering the freshest foods straight to your plate, and your palette will certainly appreciate the difference. Whatever dish you order, you can see, smell, and taste the qualitative difference between Ima dishes and other restaurants that don’t take the time and care to prepare their food with ingredients that were bought just that day.
