Enot Tsukim Nature Reserve
March 22nd 2011
Visit the Enot Tsukin Nature Reserve, or En Fashkha, known as the lowest elevation nature reserve on the planet, not to mention one of the most beautiful. This green oasis is located not far from the Dead Sea. There are three parts of this reserve. The northern reserve is closed to all visitors, except for INPA-invited scientists. The “visitors reserve” is a central location that houses natural spring swimming and wading pools. Visitors can take a dip in the cool water and enjoy a picnic in the shade. Visitors should also check out the Second Temple-era archaeological site containing an irrigation pool, manor house, and garden. The last part of the reserve is the “hidden reserve,” which can only be accessed through guided tours.
