KING DAVID HOTEL

Jerusalem’s Old City is the most important tourist destination for the vast majority of visitors arriving in Israel. It is, therefore, no surprise that nearby are a number of luxury hotels offering guests a convenient, comfortable, and upscale place to stay for a few nights. All of these hotels are within walking distance of the ancient walls and gates of the Holy City.

Some of these luxury hotels we recommend to our guests include the following:

  1. King David Hotel

Perhaps the most famous hotel in Jerusalem is the 5-star King David Hotel which is located on King David Street. The building was constructed out of locally quarried pink limestone and was first opened in 1931. For decades it has hosted heads of state, foreign dignitaries, and celebrities, as well as tourists.

The majestic hotel features a number of high-end restaurants (with Kosher options), a spa center, a mega pool, and tennis courts, among other things.

  1. Dan Panorama Hotel

A short 4-minute walk from the Bloomfield Garden park, which is itself but a brief walk from the City Walls, is the Dan Panorama Jerusalem Hotel. It’s situated on Keren HaYesod Street and features an array of luxury hotel rooms to suit all tastes and requirements. There are a variety of in-house dining options as well as a health and fitness center, rooftop swimming pool, and massage treatments.

  1. Mount Zion Hotel

To the south of the Old City and Zion Gate is the Mount Zion Hotel. This delightful boutique hotel is situated just across the road from the Bible Hill nature preserve, over which it enjoys stunning views. As well as the City Walls being just a short walk away, you can also quickly reach The First Station and the Menachem Begin Heritage Center

The hotel itself features beautiful interiors, with exquisite mosaics and a classic Oriental design. There are numerous delicious in-house dining options as well as massage rooms, spa facilities, a large swimming pool, and more.

  1. Inbal Jerusalem Hotel

Next to Holy City’s Liberty Bell Park is the Inbal Jerusalem Hotel. It’s located on Ze’ev Jabotinsky Street, a short walk from the iconic Montefiore Windmill, as well as a number of archaeological and religious sites.

The hotel includes nearly 300 luxurious newly renovated rooms and a variety of in-house amenities including restaurants, a spa & health club, a swimming pool, and even a toddler pool.

  1. Mamilla Hotel

A brief walk from Jerusalem’s New Gate brings you to one of the most fashionable hotels in the city. The Mamilla Hotel oozes style and is a popular place to stay for guests who appreciate high-end interior design and amenities.

Located on Shlomo ha-Melekh Street, the hotel is right next to upmarket shops and restaurants. There are also a number of attractions nearby including the Time Elevator Museum and the Tower of David. The hotel itself features beautiful spacious rooms, in-house dining, a wellbeing center, holistic classes, a swimming pool, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views.

  1. David Citadel Hotel

The David Citadel Hotel, near to the aforementioned Mamilla Hotel, is perhaps one of the best locations for visitors seeking to explore both the old and the new areas of Jerusalem. Situated on King David Street, it’s just a 5-minute walk to the Old City. In the opposite direction, it’s almost a straight walk to the Israeli Parliament and the many fascinating attractions in the vicinity of the Knesset.

The hotel is right next to the upmarket Mamilla Outdoor Pedestrian Mall and features delicious in-house dining options (including kosher menus), a spa & health club, a children’s play center, an outdoor pool, and more.
