Walk in the footsteps of the IDF Paratroopers as they liberated Jerusalem. Stand where they stood, witness where they fell, hear their personal stories, and walk through the gates of the Old City as the soldiers did on that historic day in June, 1967. Begin atop Mount of Olives and end with hearing IDF Chief Rabbi Goren’s blowing of the shofar at the Western Wall.

Old City View

Begin the tour with a magnificent overlook of the Old City as your guide begins telling the riveting story of the battle. Learn about the events leading up to the outbreak of the Six-Day War and the importance of the Battle for Jerusalem.

Along the way

While walking on route, experience audio and visual testimonies of the battle as it unfolded upthrough to the Western Wall. Discover a hidden part of the Western Wall which brings alive what the paratroopers found as they came upon the Kotel 40 years ago. Experience all this as the sun sets over the Jerusalem horizon and the Old City walls radiate “Jerusalem of Gold.”

A few tips to remember for your tour

-Comfortable, broken in walking shoes are a must! This tour involves a lot of walking!

-The hills of Jerusalem can chilly at night, so be sure to bring an extra layer of clothing
