Opened in 2007, here you can visit the new museum at Masada which showcases new archaeological finds found at the site. Named after the late professor from Hebrew University that led the expedition, the Yigael Yadin Masada Museum Gift of the Shuki Levy Foundation provides visitors with an innovative display of the finds located through the excavation in front of a backdrop of the period. Visitors can walk around the museum wearing a pair of headphones (available in Hebrew and English) providing explanations of all the findings as well as a narration of the historical saga. The items at the museum are arranged around three main points of the Masada history – Herod, the rebels, and the Roman army. The nine spaces of the museum separate everything by historical content, including rebel dwellings and items associated with the Roman army.
