Glenn Beck Israel Rally

May 18th 2011

If you are traveling in Israel this August and want to be a part of the action, be sure to find yourself near the Temple Mount and the Western Wall if you want to witness an unusual gigantic rally being hosted from a member of a prime time US talk show.

Glenn Beck, talk show host of Fox News, has decided to take a stand. If you recall, last November this was the man who took a stand in Washington D.C. by running a rally he called “Rallying for Honor”. According to to one estimate, at least 90,000 people attended.
Now, Beck ‘s newest rally is on even more uneven soil. Titling it “Rallying for Courage”, Glenn Beck is embarking on his own Israel tour, organizing a massive appeal to the world to wake up to the greater issues going on in the political negotiations over Jerusalem and to stand with protecting the Jewish people and the State of Israel.

Beck views the current political talks regarding the sectioning of Jerusalem as the beckoning of imminent danger for the Jewish State.
“There are people that will promise you ‘peace’ in the coming months. They are going to attack the center of our faith; our common faith, and that is Jerusalem, but it won’t be with bullets or bombs. It will be with a two-state solution that cuts off Jerusalem; the Old City, from the rest of the world.”
Beck sees these negotiations as containing underlying tones of anti-Semitism rather than simply a land issue, one in which the Jewish people in Israel are being as he terms it “set up”.

“Old hatreds are coming over the horizon; it’s a well-laid plan,” he said on one program. “Right now, when you’re paying $4 a gallon for gasoline, it’s tough. Pretty soon, you’re going to want somebody to blame. And politicians always are there to give you someone to blame. And mark my words, we will be paying 10 dollars a gallon for gasoline. When that happens and someone comes to you and says, ‘It’s the Jews. It’s Israel. If they would just give up Jerusalem. If they would just divide Jerusalem…’

Beck is aware that the process of organizing security and the multitude of logistics for the projected August event Restoring Courage Rally will be very difficult. “The very gates of hell will open up against us,” he said on his radio program.
Sounds exciting.

Being part of the current political discussion is even more powerful than learning about all of the complexities of the past political clashes that have gone on throughout history that your Israeli tour guide tells you about on your private Israel tour. Who knew that an Israel vacation could be so hands-on educational for your children, an eye-opening experience for those learning about the responsibility of being part of the Jewish people as they embark on their Israel bar mitzvah tour or Israel bat mitzvah tour. What’s more powerful than being on an Israel tour making your voice heard and hearing other voices in the ongoing dynamic political debate?

Keep tabs on Glenn Beck as he proceeds to take a stand this coming August on a hotbed issue in the heart of the Holy Land.
