Tzfat Old City & Artist Quarter

Venture down Tzfat’s quaint cobblestone streets filled with silversmiths, painters, sculptors, and more, artists are hard at work in their studios and as you walk by, you’ll see the windows of the ancient buildings filled with paintings touched by true artistry.

Yoseph Caro Synagogue

This historic synagogue is named after the kabbalist and scholar Yosef Caro, author of the Shulchan Aruch (codification of Jewish law). Destroyed by two earthquakes and each time rebuilt, today this synagogue is in full use, bringing ancient tradition to life.

The Ari Synagogue

Built in memory of Rabbi Isaac Lurie, this synagogue holds a special place in the heart of Tzfat. It is said that the famous Shabbat melody “Lecha Dodi” originated here. Be sure to witness the synagogues most stunning attribute – its intricate and colorful ark.

Mitzpe Gadot Lookout

From Israel’s Independence in 1948 until the 6-Day War in 1967, Syrian troops stationed in the Golan Heights fired relentlessly on communities below. Jewish farmers plowed fields from behind tanks and children played, studied and slept inside shelters.
