Yom Yerushalayim: Celebrating Israel’s One & Only City of Gold

May 20th 2017

If you’re coming to Israel at the end of May, you couldn’t have chosen a better time to visit. May 24th is Yom Yerushalayim or Jerusalem Day, and it’s a day on which the entire country celebrates the reunification of Jerusalem with the rest of Israel. This year is a particularly memorable occasion because it marks the 50th anniversary of the Six Day War, the war that gave Israel back its capital city. From street parades to concerts and memorial services, here are a few fun ways to join in the festivities and celebrate Jerusalem in Israel.
