Yarkon Park is Tel Aviv’s largest public urban-area park, with botanical gardens, sports facilities, a water park, an aviary, artificial lakes, and two outdoor concert venues. There are six gardens throughout the park, the largest being the Rock Garden, which showcases the geological diversity located in Israel. There are over three-thousand types of plants. There is also the Tropical Garden, which is five acres and consists of a wooden walkway, palm trees, and a small lake. The Yarkon River flows through the park, out to the Mediterranean Sea. The park is host to numerous events including the City Taste Festival and classical performances. There is a bike-rental center located at the park, a paddleboat rental, petting zoo, Sportech, basketball courts, and even trampolines!
