Day 1 Monday

WELCOME TO HOLY ISRAEL!

VIP Welcome at Ben Gurion Airport

After landing, a SHALOM ISRAEL TOURS representative will be waiting to welcome you as you exit the plane.  Your party will be transported in a private vehicle to the flight staff passport control, continue to luggage identification, and transfer to your chauffeur.

Day 2 Tuesday

THE GALILEE & TZFAT – HOLY CITY OF AIR

Tel Dan National Park

After breakfast we’ll spend the morning at a historical park built and conquered by the Tribe of Dan. In the center of the park you’ll find a fascinating archeological site with the remains of the biblical city, Laish. Near the site, there is the Dan River, a source of the Jordan River.

Kibbutz Misgav-Am Border Lookout

The most magnificent view of the Galilee, Mount Hermon, and Lebanon you will ever experience. The kibbutz is located on the north-west side of the Naftali mountain range in the Upper Galilee. On the north side is Lebanon and to the east is the Hula Valley and Mount Hermon.

Jordan River Rafting

Get ready for some real wild water fun! Israel’s Jordan River is the perfect place to cool off – go for some calm white water rafting or take on adventurous kayaking. All events take place along the 12 miles of the Jordan River with turbulent water and falls.  Either way, you’re bound to have a blast.

Tzfat – Holy City of Air

Tzfat, the City of Air, is one of the four holy cities in Israel.  It has been a spiritual center since the 1600’s when it was the center of Kabbala (Jewish mysticism).  One of Israel’s holiest cities awaits soul-seekers, nature enthusiasts, and historians to its cobblestone, art-lined streets, majestic mountains, and Kabbala-infused atmosphere.

Otzar HaStam – Scribe Center & Presentation

A visit to this interactive center – the only one of its kind in the world – you will experience the fascinating world of “STaM” – the ancient art and tradition of the Jewish Scribes, writing Sifrei Torah (Torah scrolls), Tefillin and Mezuzot. Acclaimed for its use of high tech multimedia technology, you need to see it to believe it!

Tzfat Artists Quarter

Browse Israel’s best religious art as you wander through ancient narrow cobblestone streets. You’ll see men and women deeply engaged in the creative, often religious, process of artistry; yet the friendly artists always have time to speak with tourists who pop into their workshops.

Kabbalah Glassblower Presentation

Blow your mind and come meet the famous Kabbalistic glassblower of Tzfat, Sheva Chaya. Watch her do a fascinating live glass blowing presentation with Kabbalistic explanations. Hear her inspiring life story; From Denver high school valedictorian to Princeton to Tzfat painter and glassblowing.

Sunset BBQ Dinner & Klezmer Concert

Toward the late afternoon watch the sun begin to set over the mountains and enjoy dinner and music played by famous Tzfat musicians.

Day 3 Wednesday

THE JORDAN VALLEY – HIGHWAY OF KINGS

Beit Shean National Park

Visit the magnificent ruins of Beit Shean where the bodies of Saul and his sons were nailed to the city-walls. Imagine the fierce, gladiatorial battles at the excavated Roman amphitheater that seated 7,00o enthralled spectators, and relive Byzantine times strolling down a colonnaded street alongside ancient ruins!

Ascend to Jerusalem

Arrive in Jerusalem and ascend the Haas Promenade (Tayalet).  In a single view you will perceive the both Old City and the expanse of modern Jerusalem.  This unique site helps us understand why the Talmud says that out of the ten beauties in the world, nine of them are located in the city of Jerusalem.

Night Spectacular at the Tower of David

In the stunning courtyard of the Citadel, become a part of this epic nighttime extravaganza of sight and sound projected onto its ancient walls. Through the combination of twenty projectors, scores of original music composed for the event, and the romantic environment of archeological remains, the story of Jerusalem unfolds through giant, breathtaking virtual reality images.

Day 4 Thursday

THE CITY OF KING DAVID – JERUSALEM

Mount of Olives

Located on the eastern slopes of the Jerusalem mountains, separated from the Temple Mount and the City of David by the KidronValley, the Mount of Olives is named after the olive trees that covered its grounds in Biblical times. Standing at the top of the mountain, the city of Jerusalem spread out below, one can all but feel the Biblical tales come alive.

Old City Ramparts Walk

Built in the 16th century by Suleiman the Magnificent,  the superb vantage points of these ramparts were used by Jordanian snipers against Israelis from 1948-1968 ( bullet holes still visible). Now one of Jerusalem’s lesser known tourist treasures, the ramparts exist for your viewing pleasure, with unbelievable views of the Old City you cannot find anywhere else.

Western Wall Tunnels

Descend underground into these famous tunnels which span an impressive length of 485 meters. Stand on the original Roman Street from the times of Herod the Great and watch as the hidden layers of the Western Wall are revealed before your eyes. At Warren’s Gate, stand in what is believed to be the closest spot to the ancient Temple’s Holy of Holies.

City of King David

3,800 years ago, kings and prophets set foot on the very path you are embarking on, as you discover how the ancient city of Jerusalem was born. Walk through a Canaanite tunnel, explore passageways used by the Babylonians, and relive Biblical stories in the same place where they actually happened, with scribal seals bearing Biblical names as evidence of it all.

The Temple Mount Sifting Operation – Just Dig It!

Join us in uncovering the glorious past of the Temple Mount. Sift through rubble that originated in ancient buildings from the Temple Period. Learn from archaeologists and expert guides at the site about finds that take place daily while sifting the soil of Jerusalem!

JERUSALEM SCAVENGER HUNT – TIME TO EXPLORE!

Jerusalem Scavenger Hunt

On the backdrop of ancient relics and picturesque alleys, discover Jerusalem via Scavenger Hunt! Navigating through the city, discover its rich history and unique character while competing to gather information and fulfill missions at different stations along the route!

Machne Yehuda “Shuk” (Market)

This bustling outdoor marketplace, with its 250 plus vendors, is considered the heartbeart of downtown Jerusalem. You want it, the shuk’s got it; clothing, Judaica, fresh produce, meats, diamonds, restaurants, and random musicians playing throughout. It’s a free world out there; try your hand at haggling and see what types of bargains you come home with!

Relax in Jerusalem

Filled with incredible boutique shops and cafes, Jerusalem is the opportune place to relax, shop, and indulge. Explore the store lined streets of King George and Jaffa Street or head to the German Colony to the chic and fabulous Emek Refaim Street! The options are endless.

Welcome Shabbat at the Western Wall

Get ready for an evening you’ll never forget as you head down to the wall of the Kotel, getting swept up into a night of lively dancing and festivities in the heart of Holy Jerusalem.

“Shabbat of a Lifetime” Experience

Return to Jerusalem just in time to rest and freshen up before meeting your guide for an “Introduction to Shabbat”. Learn about the importance of the Western Wall, as you prepare to experience it in all its extraordinary Friday night glory. We’ll then walk into the Old City to a hidden section of the Western Wall known as the “Kotel haKatan”, (the small wall).

The Jewish Quarter Shabbat Tour

The Jewish Quarter, haRova Yehudi, remains one of the single-most visited spots in all of Israel. Nestled within one square kilometer of land lays millennia of ancient history, it dates back to the 8th century BCE. Twisting and turning through this historical maze, visit synagogues and museums along the way to learn the story of the Jewish people in this area.

Muslim Quarter Shabbat Walking Tour

To the surprise of many, an entirely different world existed and continues to exist hidden within the secret alleyways of the Old City Muslim Quarter. Filled with oft-forgotten historical and Jewish religious sites, learn the stories of the Jewish families that lived in the Muslim Quarter nearly one-century ago, and the pioneers who re-inhabit their homes today.

Day 7 Sunday

THE JUDEAN DESERT – KING HERRODS FORTRESS

Masada Mountain Fortress & Cable Car

Ride via cable car to the top of Masada and explore what remains of King Herod’s palace, imagining what it was like to live there as you view the well preserved baths, cisterns, barracks. It was here that Eleazer Ben Yair and his followers kept the Roman Legion at bay for three years.

Dead Sea Float & Mud Experience

Come visit one of the most famous tourist sites in all of Israel. Its water is five times saltier than the ocean and contains unique healing qualities. Read the paper while floating on the dense, salty water, and lather yourself with the nutrient-filled mud—an all-around luxurious day!

Eretz Bereishit – Genesis Land

Situated in the heart of the Judean desert en route to the Dead Sea, visitors to Genesis Land, a rare immersion into the world of the Bible, are greeted by Eliezer, Abraham’s manservant and then led by a train of camels down to Abraham’s tent to enjoy dinner and experience legendary hospitality.

Day 8 Monday

JERUSALEM’S NEW CITY – THE MODERN CAPITAL

Ammunition Hill

Travel to theformer Jordanian military post where one of the bloodiest battles of 1967 took place. Learn about the courageous lives of soldiers who sacrificed everything in order to achieve victory on that fateful day, ending in the liberation and reunification of Jerusalem.

Yad Vashem Holocaust History Museum

Taking a unique approach to understanding the Holocaust through focusing on the experience at an individual level, this museum uses survivor testimonies and an unbelievable collection of original artifacts to present the horrors of genocide in an entirely different light than you have ever witnessed before. Never again.

Mount Herzl Museum

At Jerusalem’s beautifully landscaped national cemetery, pay tribute to the brave lives of such contemporary political figures as Golda Meir, Yitzhak Rabin, and, of course, the “father or modern Zionism”, Theodore Herzl. Be sure to check out the new, interactive museum!

Israel Museum & Model of Jerusalem

The Israel Museum is among the world’s leading art and archaeology museums.  The biggest highlights are the Second Temple Model, the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the art garden.

Day 9 Tuesday

TEL AVIV & OLD JAFFA – ANCIENT PORT OF ISRAEL

The Palmach Museum

This experiential museum covers the Palmach legacy through fascinating personal stories of individuals. Join the group of young Palmach recruits as they tell their story from their recruitment date right up until the War of Independence. Commemorate these warriors who died fighting for the state of Israel through this powerful and interactive experience.

Nachlat Binyamin Arts & Crafts Fair

Every Tuesday and Friday, this average street comes alive with the work of over 200 artists. Displaying Israeli made crafts, including jewelry and other interesting one-of-a-kind gifts, this fair is a great place to buy gifts, pamper yourself, and people-watch.

Dinner at Na La’agat Theater

The only theatre troupe of its kind in existence, the Nalaga’at Theater (“Don’t Touch” Theatre) in Jaffa aims to illustrate to the audience the complexity and beauty of the lives of the seeing and hearing disabled. But something additional about this performance separates it far beyond any other show you may see anywhere in the world- all of the actors speaking to you are either blind or deaf.

Day 10 Wednesday

FAREWELL FOR NOW…

Dizengoff Street, Shenken Street. & Rothchilde Avenue

Visit the “Soho” of Tel Aviv when you walk around these famous streets. Filled with unique vendors and funky coffee shops along with simple kiosks and local Falafel and Shawarma stalls- it is enough to bring out a little “Bohemian” in anyone who walks down these streets.

Tel Aviv – Jaffa Promenade

Visit the famous promenade that extends from Jaffa all the way to the Old Port in Tel Aviv. The promenade provides an amazing view of the skyline of Tel Aviv as well as a new perspective of the beauty of the city, set to the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Carmel Market

If you want a great place to experience local culture and get some great deals on household items and fresh foods, visit the largest bazaar market in Tel Aviv. Exotic aromas, beautiful colors, and some of the freshest produce around, The Carmel Market is a must-see.
