Shalom Israel Tours donates to United Hatzalah – Israel’s only all volunteer emergency medical response organization.
Over 1500 United Hatzalah medics respond to over 120,000 emergency incidents each year. From the snow-swept Golan mountains to the sun-drenched terrain of Eilat, from the inspiring cities of Jerusalem, Tzfat and Hebron and all points in between 24 hours a day 7 days a week and 365 days a year United Hatzalah medics answer the call.
The first minutes of an emergency incident are critical to the recovery chances of the victim; these are the United Hatzalah minutes.
Shalom Israel Tours donates to the Chabad Children of Chernobyl program. CCOC is a humanitarian medical relief project with the objective of improving the health of children affected by the Chernobyl disaster. CCOC is the only organization in the world that evacuates the children, bringing them to Israel, the only country in the world that accepts them on a permanent basis, and provides them with extensive medical care.
As the rate of cancer and other radiation-related diseases continues to soar in the contaminated areas, CCOC’s goal is to airlift as many children to safety as quickly as possible. Once evacuated, the children are provided with housing, clothing, education, and medical treatment at CCOC facilities. All major medical conditions, depending on the illness, are handled by various Israeli hospitals. In addition, the children are provided with wholesome diets and special vitamin supplements, psychological counseling, summer camp, special tutoring and tender care.
