The Hottest Winter Beaches in Israel

December 17th 2015

Despite being a desert location, Israel can get pretty cold in the winters. When you need to get away from all the freeze and frostbite, head straight for one of these beaches. The warm sun, soft sand and relaxing waves are sure to warm you right up!

Eilat Beaches

Eilat

Eilat is one of Israel’s most popular destinations, and it should definitely be on your to-do list while you’re here. Among the many attractions that this city holds is a tremendous coastline of stunning beaches with fabulous white sand and a blue sea that even Crayola hasn’t been able to replicate yet. While it can get a bit too hot for folks to handle in mid-July, Eilat is the perfect vacation weather for a winter beach break.

Tel Aviv

As a matter of fact, you don’t have to travel very far to enjoy Israeli beaches, even in the winter. The beaches along the Mediterranean coastline are usually a comfortable temperature (65F-75F), so you can get a nice swim in, regardless of the time of year. Tel Aviv is a popular location for surfers since the waves are particularly suitable for some prime board time. Surf’s up!

Netanya

Netanya has several beaches that are worth visiting, with Sironit being the local favorite hands down. Located in the Southern-most tip of Netanya, this beach has so much to offer tourists even well into the winter. Enjoy the waves, water, sand and sun, or check out some serious gliding action along the coast.

Another Netanya gem is the Poleg beach. Also known as the Speedo beach, Poleg is a resurrected beachfront that boasts fitness center, volleyball courts, and football fields, has become one of the most popular hot spots for beach-bound vacationers.

Of course, there are plenty of folks who enjoy the brisk stroll along cooler beaches of Israel, as well. With the summer crowds gone and the sea just as lovely as ever, you can enjoy your own private moment with one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind.
