The Best Golan Itinerary for Fun, Thrills, & More

June 30th 2017

If you’ve been to Israel already a few times, no doubt you’ve traveled to the Golan Heights and the Galilee. A beautiful area for its scenery, hikes, and flora, this location is a must visit area.

In case you’re bored of the typical Golan paths, we have a few lesser known wonders of the area that we think you and your family will love. Whether you’re traveling on your own, with your better half, or dragging along kids who are old enough to hike, check out these major attractions – all in the lovely Galilee section of Israel.

Waterfall of Wonders

Just the name sounds magical, doesn’t it? Located in Kfar Nachum, this location is known as Eyn Iyov or Job’s Eye. Well, this waterfall will certainly leave you breathless, and we’re not just talking about the trek. A brisk hike will bring you to a beautiful stream and cascading waterfall, but that’s not the main attraction here. Burst through the waterfall (that’s right, there’s only one way outta there!), and come through the other side to find a hidden cave.

Har Arbel

Up next is a more involved hike, and this one is a bit of a challenge, so only go if you are up for the trek. Climb up the side of the huge Mount Arbel, and then descend via a steep (almost like a free fall!) and narrow breach between two cliff walls. When you get to the bottom, you’ll feel exhilarated and so glad you did it!

Aqua-Kef

To end your Ein Gedi tiyul, stop by the thrilling Aqua-Kef. This is an amusement park like you’ve never seen. First, the entire thing is floating on water! Secondly, the base of the park is made of inflatable bouncy toys! So, you’re bouncing, swimming, and cavorting away the entire day while flying above the sea. Play volleyball, basketball, or just run around the waterway obstacle course for a day you won’t soon forget!

Those are just a few of the incredible activities you can enjoy while traveling up north in Israel. Find more fabulous hotspots, and make the vacation itinerary of your dreams.
