Fun Underwater Activities to Do in Eilat: Part Two

March 31st 2017

Hands down, Eilat is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. If you’re in Israel this year, you need to head for this sunny alcove of the Middle East that’s got white sandy beaches, modern conveniences, and some of the coolest underwater activities you’ll ever experience. Check out some of our favorites!

Swimming With Dolphins

Ok so this isn’t strictly underwater, but the dolphins sure dive deep! If you are as obsessed with these majestic creatures as most people are, then you are going to be blown away by this activity.

There are two ways to enjoy dolphins on the Eilat cove. Some places will set you up on a private beach which is actually an ecological site that fosters the care and upbringing of dolphins from birth. Here, the dolphins live naturally, and humans can watch and interact with them within this natural habitat, seeing the dolphin’s daily routine, socialization, and habits. It’s a fascinating way to experience wildlife in its own element.

Alternatively, if you really want to get involved in the dolphin life, you can actually go diving and swim with these beautiful creatures. You’ll be able to see the dolphins up close and personal, as well as interact with them in the waters.

Scuba Diving

In our last article about fun underwater activities to do in Eilat, we discussed snorkeling. This is a great activity if you like the water and want to see fish, but don’t want to make that much of a commitment. If you are ready for the big plunge, though, scuba diving is the way to go. With each league you advance deeper and deeper into the pristine blue waters, more sensational sights appear before you. Deep sea flora and aquatic life spring out at you, and you experience a kaleidoscope of colors and patterns you couldn’t imagine in your wildest dreams! Marvel at over 1,200 species of fish and 250+ coral varieties.

There are several spots where you can go scuba diving off the coast of the Red Sea, and they generally include all the gear you need, lessons with professional divers, guided tours, and other activities you might enjoy.

Don’t stop here! There’s so much to do within and around Eilat, so hit them up and have the vacation you’ve always dreamed of!
