Eating out in Tiberias

December 8th 2017

Part of the joy of going on vacation is being able to chow down without worrying about the shopping, cooking, and cleaning up after the meal. What’s not fun is searching the countryside for a good restaurant that fits your taste, culinary expectations, and dietary restrictions. Well, you’ve lucked out because we have a list of some of the best kosher restaurants you’ll find in Tiberias. B’teavon!

Avi’s

If you like Mediterranean food, you’re going to love this restaurant. The tables are laden with all the typical Israeli delights like fresh salads from every vegetable you can imagine, piping hot breads, and dips that’ll fill you up before you even get your meal. Meals are also very Israel-oriented with foods like “shnitzelonim” (bite-sized breaded and fried chicken breasts), kebabs, and fish and steaks the way you like them.

Where: 1 HaKishon St

Opening hours: Sunday-Thursday 12-11:30

Decks

Decks is a fabulous Israeli steakhouse with some mouthwatering dishes you are going to travel all the way back from your hometown just to have another taste of. Also set on the water, Decks offers a gorgeous eating area that overlooks the water. While this is a wonderful option for families, with open space, good meal selection, and decent pricing, Decks is also a great choice if you want a romantic evening alone. On the menu, you’ll find tantalizing steaks, salmon fillets, burgers, chicken, and more. Everything here is good, so you can’t go wrong.

Where: Gdud Barak Street, Tiberias, Israel

Opening hours:  Sunday-Thursday 12:00 pm – 11:00 pm Friday 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm Saturday 7:30 pm – 11:00 pm

Don’t forget El Rancho, The Pagoda, and Galileo. There are more delicious restaurants all over Israel for you to enjoy. Check out our recommendations for Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Eilat too.
