Day 3 Wednesday July 4th

JERUSALEM’S OLD CITY – HOLY CITY OF FIRE

City of King David Excavations

3,800 years ago kings and prophets set foot on the very path you are embarking on.  Discover how ancient Jerusalem was born, walk through a Canaanite tunnel; explore passageways used by Babylonians, and relive the Biblical stories where they happened!

A new tunnel just unearthed connects the City of David to the Jerusalem Archaeological Park!  This Jerusalem Archaeological Park contains everything you ever wanted to know about the rich history of Jerusalem architecture, with artifacts galore.

Western Wall Tunnels Tour

Descend underground into these famous tunnels which span an impressive length of 485 meters. Stand on the original Roman Street from the times of Herod the Great and watch as the hidden layers of the Western Wall are revealed before your eyes. At Warren’s Gate, stand in what is believed to be the closest spot to the ancient Temple’s Holy of Holies.

Night Spectacular at the Tower of David

Day 4 Thursday July 5th

THE JUDEAN DESERT – KING HERRODS FORTRESS

Masada Mountain Fortress & Cable Car

Ride via cable car to the top of Masada and explore what remains of King Herod’s palace, imagining what it was like to live there as you view the well preserved baths, cisterns, barracks. It was here that Eleazer Ben Yair and his followers kept the Roman Legion at bay for three years.

Dead Sea Float & Mud Experience

Come visit one of the most famous tourist sites in all of Israel. Its water is five times saltier than the ocean and contains unique healing qualities. Read the paper while floating on the dense, salty water, and lather yourself with the nutrient-filled mud!

Ein Gedi National Park

In the days of the Bible, David hid from Saul amongst these rivers and canyons. Today, Ein Gedi serves as a modern refuge from city life and from the arid desert.

Day 5 Friday July 6th

RACHEL’S TOMB & HEBRON – HOLY CITY OF EARTH

Hebron – The Holy City of Earth

Visit the Holy City of Earth, and the second holiest site in all of Israel: Hebron.  Here you will encounter the Cave of the Patriarchs, Ma’arat Hamachpela (the double cave), the tombs of our forefathers and mothers (Adam & Eve, Abraham & Sarah, Isaac & Rebecca, and Jacob and Leah).

Next we will visit the third holiest site in Jewish religion and the burial place of one of the four biblical matriarchs, this holy site signifies the return of the Jewish people to their biblical and ancient homeland of Israel.

Machne Yehuda “Shuk” (Market)

This bustling outdoor marketplace, with its 250 plus vendors, is considered the heart beat of downtown Jerusalem. You want it, the shuk’s got it; clothing, Judaica, fresh produce, meats, diamonds, restaurants, and random musicians playing throughout.

The Kotel (The Western Wall)

Here stands the most sacred site in all of Judaism; the remnant of the ancient Jewish Temple. Jews come from all over the world to pray at the wall and feel its strong spiritual presence. Get ready for an evening you’ll never forget as you head down to the wall of the Kotel,  Get swept up in lively dancing and festivities in the heart of Holy Jerusalem.

1967 Six Day War – Ammunition Hill

Travel to the former Jordanian military post where one of the bloodiest battles of 1967 took place. Learn about the courageous lives of soldiers who sacrificed everything in order to achieve victory on that fateful day, ending in the liberation and reunification of Jerusalem.

Yad Vashem Holocaust History Museum

Taking a unique approach to understanding the Holocaust through focusing on the experience at an individual level, this museum uses survivor testimonies and an unbelievable collection of original artifacts to present the horrors of genocide in an entirely different light than you have ever witnessed before. ISRAEL’S COAST – ANCIENT PORTS & VINEYARDS

Ancient City of Caesarea

The Caesarea National Park contains the remains of a prestigious city established by King Herod the Great. Prepare to be amazed when you visit the mighty Roman Amphitheatre, the Hippodrome, a 20,000 seat horse racing arena, as well as the impressive Roman Aqueducts!

Neve Michael Children’s Home Tour & Lunch

Next we’ll head north along the coast to visit the Neve Michael Children’s Village, located in Pardes Hanna. Neve Michael serves 250 children, ages 4-18 years old, from all over the country who were brought to our doorstep at a tender age and under traumatic circumstances through the Welfare Department. In many cases, these unfortunate children’s natural parents are afflicted with mental illness or drug and alcohol addictions.

The Carmel Winery

This is serious wine country.  Learn about the history of Israeli wine from the 1880’s right up to the recent quality revolution. With 3,000 acres of vineyards producing over 15 million bottles of wine a year, this winery has a lot to say about the ancient and new history of wine.

Tzfat – Holy City of Air

Tzfat, the City of Air, is one of the four holy cities in Israel.  It has been a spiritual center since the 1600’s when it was the center of Kabbala (Jewish mysticism).  One of Israel’s holiest cities awaits soul-seekers, nature enthusiasts, and historians to its cobblestone, art-lined streets, majestic mountains, and Kabbala-infused atmosphere.

Day 9 Tuesday July 10th

THE GALILEE & TZFAT – CITY OF KABALLAH

Tel Dan National Park

After breakfast we’ll spend the morning at a historical park built and conquered by the Tribe of Dan. In the center of the park you’ll find a fascinating archeological site with the remains of the biblical city, Laish. Near the site, there is the Dan River, a source of the Jordan River.

Manara Cliff & Cable Car

Ride on the longest cable car in Israel as you head to the top of the cliff and take in some of the most breathtaking sites including Mount Hermon and the Hula Valley. Once you reach the top, take a ride down the mountain slide!

Otzar HaStam – Scribe Center & Presentation

A visit to this interactive center – the only one of its kind in the world – you will experience the fascinating world of “STaM” – the ancient art and tradition of the Jewish Scribes, writing Sifrei Torah (Torah scrolls), Tefillin and Mezuzot. Acclaimed for its use of high tech multimedia technology, you need to see it to believe it!

Tzfat Artists Quarter

TEL AVIV & FAREWELL – BYE FOR NOW!

Kfar Chabad

Venture around this unique town, home to Israel’s Chabad-Lubavitch Chassidic movement, population 8,000. Visit their working etrog plantation and the Israeli 770 Replica! Learn the story of how this smallvillage saved thousands of Jewish children’s lives during the Chernobyl explosion in the 1980s, and continues to reach out to families of terror victims.

Arrive in Tel Aviv

Stretched along the beautiful beach strip of the Mediterranean, Tel Aviv is Israel’s largest city and biggest commercial center. It is a busy metropolis, which inspires its visitors with a unique energetic atmosphere of excitement and fun.

Tel Aviv – Jaffa Promenade

Visit the famous promenade that extends from Jaffa all the way to the Old Port in Tel Aviv. The promenade provides an amazing view of the skyline of Tel Aviv as well as a new perspective of the beauty of the city, set to the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Palmach Museum

This experiential museum covers the Palmach legacy through fascinating personal stories of individuals. Join the group of young Palmach recruits as they tell their story from their recruitment date right up until the War of Independence. Commemorate these warriors who died fighting for the state of Israel through this powerful and interactive experience.
